Their natural instinct will always be to play that's all they know. Football has been coached that way to them since grade school. It you hurt, whether it's mentally or physically you play on, but sometimes management gotta protect people from themselves.
I'm not saying you gotta cancel the game, but give them a day or two to deal with the grief a little bit.
...why are you trying to dictate to THEM how they do or should feel? Have you polled them so as to definitively suggest that they need "protection from themselves"? Can you conclusively state the percentage of Chiefs players in that locker room whom you feel need to "deal with the grief"? For all we know, some of them may be like
"damn, dude went out on some bytch shyt, fukk that nikka, then", who knows? Point is, you don't know HOW they feel, and I'm sure that if a nikka was too broken up to play he wouldn't play.
Y'all on here completely discounting the ability of grown ass men to discern shyt for themselves, acting like y'all have the authority to speak FOR them because they're somehow too stupid from too many blows to the head, or perhaps so blindly allied with the football gods to think rationally for themselves.
