Perhaps you are confusing me with somebody else. Just admit that your claim was wrong. Enough with the juelzing,tangents,etc. Don't try to deflect & make this into a flag waving contest, I am neither African American nor Jamaican. And I debate history in good faith expecting others to do the same.
African American's HUGE impact on other countries and cultures' music is indisputable fact. The Jamaican pioneers in the documentary openly speak about this. But the notion that other places had no music traditions, venues and local culture for enjoying music before contact/influence from Americans is a lie.

And would throw both types of events depending on the location and clientele.

It’s more of a concentration of the wealth from slavery and those who created it being in the same place.
Nothing about one slave being in florida and the other being in jamaica makes one more or less cultured than the other.
