McCown been playing well all year, though. And why would the Bears lock up Cutler at this point? They need to free up money to shore up other areas of that squad and in that offense it looks like they can find a cheaper guy to match Cutler's production.

Maybe. Tenessee too. Minny, Cleveland, Buff, Oak, etc may all be interested. He'll get paid.
Yeah I know. Just disgusted at our efense right now and him shredding it.

Cutler is over-rated garbage.

I pity the team who pays out big for him. Chicago is lucky to see they don't need him and can roll with anyone in Trestman;s system.

great post

it's now that McCown is good/great it's that Trestman's system is allowing him to succeed, the fact that Cutler has been underwhelming in every season with the Bears is a testament to his lack of IQ and awareness (there's nothing physically wrong with Cutler and he can make all the throws). So while McCown is not the answer - he did solve the question of whether Cutler is a franchise QB

Nobody threw Vikings out there?
I said that makes most sense they ain't trying to rebuild with another rookie QB

Ap ain't getting any younger they can sign Jay and use that top 5 pick on defense or a lineman..,,,or trade back with a team trying to get a qb
