Its cool, Chicago is a great Black City so I don’t mind borrowing. Plus frfr DC is super transient so you get Black people from all over the country/world here so it’s bound to be some borrowing.

I’ll say Go Go and the regional style is still something DC can claim as indigenous.

I do remember reading about this mumbo sauce thing earlier this year and didn’t believe it. Looked it up and it was true. Mumbo sauce wings at mgm (I forget the restaurant) is some of the best wings I’ve ever had.

Gotta story on that. I remember one time a group of us was walking from Howard to get some food from HoChi at night years ago. We got there, saw one of the cooks or workers reaching into the wall in the waiting area trying to kill a rat. I immediately walked the fukk back out. Going back to Howard, behind the restaurant, I saw the grass move in multiple different areas with rats running back and forth and I asked how the hell do anyone of you all eat this shyt. Never went there or any other carry out again.
