Welp. They were kind of hit and miss for me. Like they’d say something funny but I had a hard time getting through a full episode of their Showtime show. The thing with them is I don’t think either would flourish on their own. They need to be part of a collective, like Mero was pretty good when I seen him on a few pods with some other cats during the NBA playoffs. I’d imagine most people would get burnt after so long. I know they said it was the manager fault but it’s pretty been brewing for a while. I wish them well though, they seem like pretty chill cats who took advantage of their opportunities

I think they'll be fine without each other and flourish in their own ways because I don't think they want the same things.

Desus is about to cover for Kimmel and that definitely seems more like him. A solo show where he hosts in some sort of format looks and feels like something he could do in his sleep. But if you told me Mero ended up as like the 2nd or 3rd guy on a TV show (acting) that would make sense too.

I think this is a clear case of actually growing apart and not fighting over two ways to reach the same goal.

I'm rooting for both of them because they seem like decent cats and they gave their fans a lot in the time they were together.

Yeah it was free as far as I know. It was a funny lil show to listen to during the earlier part of work. It really started lagging in the end cuz it sounded like they were spending more time preaching and walking on eggshells to not offend anyone. I had to just cut shyt off halfway sometimes cuz I ain’t want an earful of agenda.

Desus is a star fukker, at least that’s what it looks like. He on Anna Kendrick’s coat tails like a mother fukker, chasing her around Europe and shyt. He could be beating, but he seems to like that side kick, gay best friend role, not that he gives any indication that he is gay, tho. I don’t want to slander the art, I agree that the jokes and shyt weren’t hitting anymore, and the 15 min of aka shyts were cringe asf, but they did some funny, edgy shot when it was fresh, and just about every pod, they said at least a couple of funny things. For me, I stopped laughing when Desus would make the connection, or premise of a song, and Mero would have to beat that shyt into the ground, too much

I agree Desus wants to kiss ass on his way to a studio gig, and Mero is a little more rough around the edges. He also probably wants to write and develop full time instead of doing all of the politics and parties.
