I stuck with the show until Hannah. Hannah ruined the internal logic of the show.

Hannah was a result of Michael C Hall gaining more control over the direction of the show, if I remember correctly? Pass on this one. And keep Hannah away.

sure her character was crucial for the plot, but i found her rly annoying

I found her adolescent male body more so the only thing feminine about Deb was her hair and thus face.


But she had great chemistry with the rest of the cast and her Dexter dilemma was real, messy and poignant. She earned Dex. Hannah didn't. It was cool she didn't end up with him, it was not cool Hannah did.

Problem was it was sandwiched between horrible seasons so people just lump it in with the other trash

Personally I don't have a problem with Dexter coming back as long as he's not working with the police and they don't bring back the same writers

Yeah, that was season seven. It could've ended a decent series, but the way they followed it up was pathetic. They had everything laid out for em and still butchered it.

Why wasn't there a closer look into LaGuerta's death? Apparently, Dexter and Deb came up with some amazing cover-up. LaGuerta spent all of the previous season trying to convince everyone that Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher, then she ended up being killed by Deb's gun. Deb even confessed to the murder in the final season, but of course the writers had Dexter swoop in and fix the situation. You can't be serious, B. Don't even get me started on the finale.

Is anyone really surprised? They didn't refuse to let him die just because. I did figure it would take a little longer but once I heard that Showtime wouldn't let him be killed off I knew he'd be back. That is the only saving grace of that piss poor finale. I have been holding out hope that they would bring the show back with competent writers and right the wrong (don't ask me how ) that was the last few seasons.

7 had GOAT season potential and they squandered it. They wasted Isaac, the video game guy, and LaGuerta's death.

Stop it. Bautista couldn't solve a case to save his life. In the old Dexter threads , I wanted some proof that he or anyone other than Dexter solved a case. That police department never solved a single case. Ever.

The end of the episode was Harrison's 2nd birthday, a bunch of kids around and shyt and LaGuerta announces that the case was closed and congratulated Deb on her good work

I thought Dex solved the case for her as always . I mean the clearance rate for solving murder had to be zero % . Dex solved every case and of course he cut them up and buried them in the ocean. Also this shows you how really incompetent these guys were. The people they caught get released because of bad evidence , no witnesses mistake on paperwork by Bautista and police brutality by Doakes.

First 2 seasons of Dexter> First 2 seasons of breaking bad.

And the first 2 seasons weren't even the best dexter had to offer.(Season 4)

Dexter worked. It just fell under HORRIBLE management and writing during it's final years. I would love a reboot.

This show needs no rebooting. It's over and done just like entourage the movie it's over. Let it die . You would need a dream team of writers to fix this show from that abortion of a last season .
