the jets' best weapon during his time there was probably thomas jones, so that made him look worse than he really is. there are still probably like 20 QBs who are better than him, though

verdict: not totally a bum

Nah they were sitting well following that thanksgiving win and then fell apart in December

He showed he was better than his reputation but he still didn't do enough to be considered a quality NFL starter. He still young tho only 26.

I think he did redeem himself somewhat, but that speaks more to just how bad his reputation was rather than his play this year, which was decent at best and awful at it's worst. He's a career backup. Chip did a decent job covering up Sanchez's weaknesses, but couldn't completely hide them. The Eagles' offense was a shell of itself with him in there, and that's pretty bad considering how poorly Foles was playing this season.

I believe he will always be a backup in the league but will have opportunities like he had this year more through out his career. If a team has a player like Geno smith or if he goes to the Titans then he may have a chance to start because he will be cheap and they have a solid young WR group. But then again that's just my opinion.
