For one, it’s pronounced Chappaquiddikk.

For two, some of the actors in the actual film didn’t know this about Ted Kennedy.

For three, go ask the nikkas in the hood and see if they heard about the Chappaquiddikk Incident :mjlol: It’s common everyday knowledge though huh :mjlol:

Try to be smart brehs :mjlol:

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Ted's would be campaign manager was flying to Chappaquiddikk, and when he saw the car underneath the water surrounded by police and reporters, the first thing he thought was "This is horrible. That poor girl drowned. :picard:"

I'm just kidding. He really said "Oh my God! There goes Ted's Presidential run. :picard:"

For real.

His first boy died in the war. Plane shot down.
His next son assassinated.
His third son assassinated.
His daughter lost her mind.
His fourth son let a chick drown.
His grandson died in a plane crash.

Gramps had to do something foul in his life to have such bad juju on his family :picard:
He also had a grandson that crashed into a tree while skiing

He left the scene of the accident, and called his Dad for advice, who called all the handlers and fixers of the Kennedy's, BEFORE they called the authorities. Basically, he was drunk, and left a friend to die alone. I am going to see that movie this week, and have been reading up on the other sordid history of the Kennedy's, like the 1991 Palm Beach rape, allegedly by William Kennedy Smith.

Not the first time either. JFK was going to be court martialed for getting his PT boat sunk, but daddy rolled in and saved the day with a PR campaign and calling in favors. This is why I don’t look at them as a family with a curse on them. Most of the shyt that happens to them is a result of their own actions. JFK might have even been asassinated for double-crossing the Mafia.

Kate Mara acted in the movie and she didn’t even know this about Ted Kennedy beforehand.

That's curious.

And Kate Mara is rich as fukk and was raised in those circles. So it’s not like I’m alone here.

Don't know who she is but did a quick wiki. The bolded is debatable. She's not of the boarding school set and her family's money is affiliated with the sports industry. Not exactly the Upper East Side Knickerbocker set. But you would have to know the nuances of this to understand.

Ted Kennedy had alot of popularity his last couple years on Earth. He had that Bernie Sanders type cred going for him and I never once heard anyone say he let a chick drown.

America has embraced the Kennedys as an "unofficial" royal family, so history is going to do everything to protect their legacy.

The average nikka from the hood won't know much about anything outside of the hood. Most don't even leave they own block so no I wouldn't expect them to know anything about it.

But...for the average American that has kept a modicum of interest in U.S. politics, it is common knowledge and would have known about the incident.

I don't know how old you are but it could just be a generational thing. That Mara chick is in her mid 30's so I find it incredulous that she hasn't heard anything about it.

Kate Mara grew up rich, privileged and in the same East Coast socialite circles and she had never heard about it. I think y’all are overselling how pervasive the story was in the media. I don’t recall any of the major networks bringing this story up when Ted died.

I mean I can't argue with that.

But if she is truly a socialite and part of those circles and summered anywhere around the cape, martha's vineyard, or nantucket in her thirty six or so years, I find it hard to believe she hadn't heard about it.

Again, people only know about MV for three reasons really and Ted Kennedy is one of them.

No, I wouldn't expect the average black person from the hood to have heard about the incident much like I wouldn't expect the average person from the hood to know that the Beatles are considered to be the greatest band of all time (not saying that they are) but its an example of common knowledge that a lot of folks don't know.

The Kennedy's are one of the 13 bloodlines of the Illuminati. It was common knowledge long ago this whole incident was supposedly to squash any chance he would run for president one day in looking to bring those to justice who murked his brothers.
