I have all 3 VR headsets (PSVR, VIve, OR), and I haven't played either of them in weeks. Did VR flop?

The graphics have a screen door effect. There are no killer apps (in fact the highest rated VR game is a port [Rez]). Did this shyt flop brehs?

It makes me sad to say it, but it might just be a fad or a gimmick. What do you all say?

The price isn't right nor are the games there. VR is an expensive novelty. Honestly, I'm surprised Nintendo didn't announce some shytty peripheral to go with the Switch.

At first I thought that maybe VR just had to cook for a while for it to start popping, but I'm starting to think that the tech/interest isn't quite there at the moment. Consoles don't nearly have enough power for any intensive VR games, and even a PC capable of doing that costs an arm and a leg. Sure, it's pretty impressive these days, but without a killer game, it's just an expensive gimmick.

A massive company like Facebook is going to keep pushing this beyond just gaming.


Sony has said all the right things before launch but I think next e3 will be the telling point. If they don't have 1 new big game announcement I don't have any faith in them. Closing down guerilla Cambridge was short sighted and sends out alarm bells.

i don't think it's even really taken off yet. its just starting. VR is far too impressive to fail IMO. just need the hardware to catch up really
