Another fun fact. Kanye West made the Heart of the City beat with DMX in mind. That always seemed like a head-scratcher to me. Obviously, he wasn't gonna say no to Jay, and now I can't hear anyone on it but Jay.

Adding onto fun facts, Quik originally offered the "Heartz of Men" beat to 2nd II None for their album and they passed on it.

Oh, most definitely. A good beat would've gone to waste. Thank the spirits of hip-hop that they passed on it. Imagine Bizarre rapping over that beat. :scust:

I don't know. It could have gone either way. If it had to be a song like "Purple Pills" or "My Band" then it would have sucked, but if it's something like "When the Music Stops" or "Rap Game," it would have been classic. D12 usually shined when they did lyrical/introspective tracks.
