Yeah, it's a rather large handful of folks on there that are being OD aggressive for no reason other than being some obvious losers right now. I don't think anyone is currently moderating it though, so hopefully once @thaKEAF and his crew get fully settled in they'll begin cleaning house. I just checked out the kickback and while the vibe is definitely pleasant, I found it terribly hard to navigate. Rome wasn't built in a day though, so it's just a waiting game on seeing how things will end up playing out.

A lot of these guys have legit mental issues and are incapable of being normal

The forum moderating will be interesting to watch. If you enforce rules some people will complain about being treated unfair and being targeted and if you don't enforce rules people will complain about the lack of moderations. I can see why Brook and some mods on here are the way they are because of that.

Yeah, I don't envy them at all lol. I already put my .02 in the general suggestion thread saying I'd prefer it to be more heavily moderated. The world is where it's at right now because extremists on both ends are being allowed to run amok and getting their way due to people in the middle being passive and submissive to their crazinesses. Give anyone that is aggressive and/or attention seeking the immediate boot. They're welcome to find or create somewhere else that will accept or tolerate their rigid attitudes.

Idk i've been given warning points and had my threads moved and bushed. You just move on with your life. I think a heavily moderated forum would be better to scale and grow.

Also if you ban users you would have to do a Mac address ban. I imagine a lot of those trolls have alias accounts stashed away.

I don't mind strong personalities, it's really just the argumentative/aggressive/derailing members that ruin it for me. Keep them in check or out of the group altogether and I think there's a chance for a decent enough eco system to flourish. I'm fine with using the ignore function on the rest of the ones that I consider too weird even for my tastes.

@thaKEAF if you created this forum, get a handle on this asap. some of those old posters are openly posting trannies, which, along with the resurrection of old beefs, and the diaspora wars, that's already insufferable here, there's no possible way i would be interested in joining the site. and I'm sure it will deter many of the solid posters here from migrating as well. though, I've already made my decision based off of initial impressions, i do wish y'all success and the best of luck. the site looks to be designed well.
