Album was the result of 3 years of hype/anticipation. A hit mixtape. A hit beef record, a hit pop record, a hit collab mixtape with the hottest rapper of 2015 and a highly publicized beef. The album itself wasn't good and won't have the legs that A great album like Take Care had. It'll go on to sell less than NWTS and Take Care.
It's just not a good project. Plus, I saw in an interview that he only started working on the album in September of 2015
You hype that album up for that long as your magnum opus and you only work on it for 5 months or so?
While not writing most of it or producing any of it?

No Way Out had ghostproducers and ghostwriters and is a certified classic. Half the album was a hit single.

Dude got a platinum album in two weeks and now it's on him to finess the radio singles nd videos into whatever else he can eat off it while going on a big tour this summer. And knowing him he's gonna have a big non album summer record to supplement whatever the fukk else he ha going on

Everybody's numbers drop like that from week 1 to week 2, especially in hip hop. The way big acts keep their numbers up is how they stay consistent and hover in the top 50 weeks and months from now. The fact of the matter is, regardless of the reviews he's still selling. The idea of "haha it's only 180k this week" isn't even worth grasping the straw. 180k on its own is the highest selling in hip-hop so far this year.
