He didn’t play above the rim with flair a lot of his shyt was just standing dunks under the hoop and dump downs under the basket and he’d dunk two hand and hang on the rim yes he dunked dudes arms were long as shyt but he wasn’t an explosive leaper

shyt KG probably dunked less but he had more power and style and would shyt talk it was more entertaining

KG had great footwork and coordination. I think getting that tuition at 17/18 from Kevin Mchale combined with natural talent made him unique. Despite the yelling and everything, his game was 'pretty' he was a very athletic finesse player.

I love Duncan but he was stoic, people feed off emotion and he never gave anyone anything to respond to.

I agree as well but he was able to redeem himself with the ring in Boston....by proxy I guess.
People like to bring us his supporting cast, but at one point the Twolves had Allstars (Wally)and former Allstars(Cassel, Sprewell) caliber and he still wasn't able to do much.

Correct but that year, the Twolves had 2 All-Stars, KG and Wally. While Duncan had a young Tony and a risky Manu. IIRC the later Twolves showed promise with Cassell and Sprewell but without looking it up, I belove one of them got hurt, then Sprewell demanded more money or something. Nevertheless, KG fans would like to say he didn't have help...but even Duncan won a ring with his Flunky,

It's amazing how many of our takes are dictated by emotions and superficial window dressing.

Garnett was more fluid and moved a little more on both ends than Duncan, but he's right that there wasn't any big gap. Most of the reason people call Duncan boring are because of his lack of facial expressions and his body language. If he was more demonstrative, the narrative around him would be different even with the exact same game.
