if the doping agencies say she is clean, then its over with me and I have no issues.

but what she did shouldnt happen.

Then let all the suspicion end until the doping agencies say she's clean, otherwise yes it is quite possible that she is better than the men, is this a world where we believe women are still second class? Maybe she's a swimming genetic freak for all I know.

Is that how you think it should work?

Depending on how unusual or improbable the incident - yes, absolutely.

With that said, the media scrutiny shouldn't be as lopsided as it currently is when putting the spotlight on people.

This isn't a perfect world though, so, bias is to be expected.

She might be but until she's actually caught I don't give a fukk....a Chinese girl going really fast must be doping but missy franklin getting in the pool and winning a gold medal 10 min after swimming a semifinal and swimming like 20 times a day is no problem its just hard work and determination right? Same as all the Bolt doping accusations last Olympics and the drama brought up about Chinese gymnasts being underage....its only cheating if its not a US athlete and its ALWAYS Americans bringing it up even tho they got more caught dopers than anyone. So why the fukk should anyone listen to their hypocritical asses without proof

this post :mindblown:

you agreed she could be using then went on some bizarre tangent about politics. This story has nothing to do with politics.

If she won that race easily but ran the 100 meters in sex-acceptable time, there would be no controversy.

Can you NOT read? I said I am fine with being suspicious but its another to straight up ACCUSE someone before you have the proof.

Simple example:

Say I'm your boss and i see you in traffic and we are both running late to work. But then lose sight of you. Later that weeki see that you clocked in at work on-time on the day where we were both running late. Until I have proof that you had someone else clock you in I CAN be suspicious all I want but have no grounds to come accuse me of anything and try to fire you.

Same thing applies here. THe Olympic committee has it's own anti doping process that it goes through and that YOU agreed to when participating in the games. UNTIL the committee rules that someone was found guuilty of doping YOU as another competitor have NO BUSINESS ACCUSING THEM OF CHEATING.

one nuance i'd like to bring.

from what i understand, her last 50 meters was faster than the guy. but not her overall race. i'm not saying she's guilty or innocent but like one of the TV commentators said, maybe she (and her coaches) just planned her race differently.

for that reason, i don't think the sprinting analogy applies.

no reason? :stopitslime: and it wasn't just the american coach. Again, that is the point. Teenage girl doing faster times than top males. Think about that. Think about that...........Think about that. You think the Chinese Olympic Committee will investigate, which is how this stuff usually happens? Nope.

:laff:
