Game never went commercial once, Jay, Em, 50, Wayne, Kanye all have went full pop at least a few times in their careers.
How have those other dudes gone more pop and not game? Minus Kanye/Wayne's singing, which was their least commercially sounding music.

Jay-z pop is songs like Sunshine or Drunk In Love.
Just about every single rapper who raps in the 2000s and have moved units have gone "commercial".

Jay-Z was wrong about Game, plain and simple. Dude's stayed relevant for 10 years and delivered one of the best hip hop albums of 2015.
In 2016, I look forward more to a Game CD than a Jay-Z CD. Magna Carter was trash. Blueprint 3 was trash. The only decent project Jay put out in the past 5 years was Watch the Throne, and that's only because of Kanye.

That's one thing I respect about Game, he doesn't rely too much on commercial songs, but still makes pretty decent albums. he has definitely made better albums then Came-L, who's last commercial album was what that wack ass bullshyt he just released a couple years ago, which was absolute trash.

The Game is such a generic artist. It's just bizarre how people really think he's this bonafide legacy rapper. I'm not saying he's godawful but he's literally one of the corniest rappers the West has ever produced. I think maybe had he not fallen out with G Unit, his repertoire as a Cali Superblood would've remained intact and protected by the machine but pretty much everything post-The Documentary is corn.

I disagree. If anything G-Unit was corny as fukk and him leaving was the best thing he coulda done. The Doctor's Advocate is arguably the better than Doc 1, and Documentary 2 was really nice too.
His lyrical content is on the weaker side, but he's one of the best spitting today. Great rap voice, crazy flow, good mic presence, nice wordplay. He straight murders tracks.
