I'm from Ghazni
The eastern parts of the province has long been Taliban country, especially my moms district, Andar, which has prob been top most dangerous in the country for the better part of the last two decades
Over the last couple years, the Taliban have been encroaching on the western districts which are predominately Hazara populated
The attack on the city itself was bound to happen, surprised it didn't happen earlier, altho there was an attempt made last year I believe
The whole Wardak, Logar, Ghazni triangle South of Kabul is infested with Talibs
Frankly, most of the people wouldn't bat much of an eye if the Taliban took over tomorrow
My sources on the ground indicate Talibs are still in the streets but the city hasn't fallen yet, they'll prob be fully pushed out in the next 48 hours
