Have him return as a heel to cost Reigns the title to the biggest pop of the year

Came to say this.

Salvage it by making it another Shield payback storyline Dean can say that he was left behind as both Roman and Seth went to achieve more or whatever. Heel Dean can more than sell that storyline and remind us of how good he can be when he tries.

If they were to pull it off, they can salvage Dean and give Roman a legitimate reason to become jarred and a loner forever.

I don’t think they’d do it tho since they like to wrap up storylines at Mania.

Between his debut and when he got hurt it was him just going and going. Wear and tear was eventually gonna catch up

Him costing Roman the strap would be counter-productive i think if the goal is to have him as a heel. Crowd would cheer.

I think costing Seth in the Triple Threat would work better (Miztourage interfer, Club comes out to help Balor, Dean comes out to "help" Seth, but instead beats the brakes off him.)

But his arm was already destroyed, half the size of the other one, and in a damn brace. It had to have been injured for weeks to months by that point already.

I miss him cause he originally was the flagship in the shield and their original ready for singles wwe from the Indy really ready guy. Plus I get a kick outta his style inring and he was excellent as a naturally ill comment making promo.
Miss the guy and hope his feud with Joe when he comes back is still on.

Also give him his finisher back and not Mick foley's.

I don't think dean works as a heel till he is much older and WWE moves on to a new flagship face after cena and after roman. Dean is really just a face in WWE semantics right now.
He could be a heel to a new Gen but right now he is landlocked as a face.
Given the current global direction of WWE.

Dsan Ambrose in current WWE mythos matches what a face really is.
Trying to turn him in the current incarnation goes against what the scope of the promotion is and it would not be accepted as a draw by casuals and the oft putting tone.
Now, the WWE will do what they want but it would be odd as fukk to do.
Plus make no actual sense down to the scope of what WWE is. If they change bf flagship scope types when dean is older then it works. Right now it would make no sense at all.

Just like if you tried to turn cena with no arching scope base direction change in the promotion.
