So has Devin Booker's 70 point game been remembered, or forgotten as stat padding?

11 pts in 4 minutes isn't a lot? He had a ton of points regardless but it wouldn't be celebrated nearly as much if he had came out of the game or stopped gunning.

That's why these games mean little to me. When a guy is really that hot, the game isn't competitive enough to keep going with it. At a certain point, you're just playing for numbers and it cheapens it.

The narrative with Kobe's is that they needed each and every one of those points because it was a close game. It's not true but no one cares because its Kobe.

Look how miserable of a hater this nikka is. Can't even give credit to Kobe's 81 game :mjlol:

and he didn't come out of the game because Phil Jackson had already blocked Kobe from scoring 70+ two previous times in his career because of blowouts. Considering he single handedly brought the team back from a huge deficit that game, God forbid he get the one chance to finish it off :picard:

D Book wasn't even supposed to be a 1 and done and now we're comparing a 20 year old kid dropping 70 to Kobe, Lebron and Klay Thompson and saying it was a forgettable 70 :dead:
Seriously. Dude has barely even BEGUN to write his story. This shyt will probably be looked back to in the future on some

"We should have seen this coming :picard:" type steez

It’ll never be forgotten because every time you think about Booker, your second thought is that he dropped 70 in a game as a 2nd year player. Your 3rd thought might be how he got it but doesn’t change the fact.

He made himself a name off the strength of that game so how could it really be forgotten by anyone paying attention?

That's why it's a struggle 60, Kobe would have had a few extra 70+ games if he played in the 4th of blowouts

By taking a lot more shots. If you think 61 pts on 33 shots is a struggle game, you havent paid much attention to some of the awful numbers Kobe put up on 30-50 shot attempts.

Fukk all that bullshyt.

You're probably not going to see another 19 yr old score 70 in a NBA game.

He put on a show and hit some crazy shots in that 4th Quarter

The Garden was behind him, rooting him on.

He delivered some fine entertainment.

To be that young and score 70 is still an amazing achievement.

Fukk the haters

Low Key, that 70's not really all that much of a fluke, tho.

Booker would always have lil blackout moments, but when you share the backcourt with Eric Bledsoe & Brandon Knight

You can forget about being in a groove all game long.

I've seen them sabotage about 3 potential 60 point games Book could've had.

Might not be talked about but as long as he is an active player that 70 piece will always be bought up. What's scary is he has at least another 12 or so years to try to score more than that. And I wouldn't put it past young Booker to try.
