11 pts in 4 minutes isn't a lot? He had a ton of points regardless but it wouldn't be celebrated nearly as much if he had came out of the game or stopped gunning.

That's why these games mean little to me. When a guy is really that hot, the game isn't competitive enough to keep going with it. At a certain point, you're just playing for numbers and it cheapens it.

The narrative with Kobe's is that they needed each and every one of those points because it was a close game. It's not true but no one cares because its Kobe.

He did only have 12 FTA tho, a lot of those higher scoring games were like minimum 20 attempts. Give him like 26 attempts and 40 attempts and he could likely do it

I just looked up Kobe's games where he took 33 shots. His high was 51 and most were in the mid 30's.
