I could understand someone wanted to see a movie of a book, because yourr taking words and giving them life
but videogame's already have over 2 hours of cinema in all the story driven games, there's no point really

Only reason this sounds somewhat interesting is because Neil Druckmann is writing the screenplay himself.

The only way a live action adaption of Last of Us would work is through a mini-series. In a movie, a lot of little things that make the game's story special would be lost just like the Watchmen movie.


Some things just don't translate completely to other forms of media.
