To keep things in perspective, Menace to Society came out in 1993.

In 1992, Los Angeles County had 2,589 murders. I doubt even 1,000 murder cases got solved.

So it was a bunch of O-dogs walking around.

Another issue I've always had with Menace is Ilena's cousin. Why the fukk would you go in somebody else's hood by yourself with no hammer looking to fight a nikka?! He lucky that whole project ain't kill his ass!

he left fingerprints on the register. then he got arrested for that grand theft auto. the police would have matched his prints to the ones found on the register and that would be enough to charge him.
Hes robbing cash registers for extra money. Obviously hes at a lower level in crime and will be weeded out into a jail cell for not being an intelligent hoodlum.

i cant watch the movie because its unrealistic

I never even thought about the cash register! Yeah the police definitely didn't do there job in that respect. Caine said they let O-Dog off with a warning he was a minor?! Where they do that at?! He should of still been locked up and printed and everything and have to go to court for stealing a car. Definitely see lil plot holes now, still one of my favorite movies though!

It's not unrealistic. This happens in real life.

In a high crime area police don't have time to be throwing the book at common crimes like this.

Things like stick ups, car theft, assault if your not a career criminal you get a slap on the wrist, if you're a minor, they just call your parent come get you.

Fighting in a nice neighborhood will get you a felony. Fighting in the hood the police will break up the fight then tell u go home

Yes.

I know someone personally that got caught for an attempt robbery (stickup) with a switchblade when he was 15. he had no record. They brought him to the precinct, called his parents to take him home.

I know someone who carjacked a man, he was 15 also. He sat in bookings for like 12 hours yea, but they let him go on $500 bail. He had a court date but it ended up getting dropped and sealed provided he didnt get in trouble again for the next year.

I know someone again, 19 years old, minor offenses on record, shot a gun into a crowd of people. Got hit with aggrevated assault, 8 months probation.

Im telling you...

And all it took was one person to beef with him and snitch

Dude was outta control

It was prolly 5 other dudes who either saw it or heard about it (cuz it seemed the whole hood knew) and wanted it get him off the street

 if this movie was made in 2013, he wouldve put it on Instagram :smh:
