And that's being generous, because 2009 is when Before I Self Destruct dropped. 50 hasn't been a "big dog" since then - not by comparison to his dominance before, and not compared to the other big dogs. He's essentially an A-List artist with B-List results now. He plateaued musically and sales-wise by his second album. He drops single after single, and none of them have given him enough momentum to drop an album. You're not a big dog unless you can compete with other big dogs.

By comparison, Jay drops an album every year or two since 96. Only a couple poorly-received critically, and just about all of them hit no. 1 the week they drop, continuing to gold or platinum sales.

A 15-year career of averaging 30 ppg > two seasons of averaging 45 ppg
