I see a lot of people pre judge me, clown me, or just joke around, but don't really know the full story.
Let me introduce myself, I'm BrothaZay. 19 years old. And I live with my girlfriend in her college dorm.
But how did I get here?
Bad mistakes, mainly due from lack of guidance, wisdom and experience.
It started last fall. Matter fact, it started my senior year of HS.
Senior year 2012
When everyone is getting ready to go to their dream college, I really didn;t care too much. Plus my GPA was shyt. 1.7. But within the last 4 months I finally found my dream college. And applied to it. Now you may be saying "Zay its no way you're getting into college with a 1.7 GPA" and you couldve been right. I knew that, but I took the SAT and actually ended up scoring in the top 9% for the school I applied for. I ended up getting accepted.
Whewww, God is good right? Despite not doing shyt in HS, I still got a chance to not only go to college, but my dream college. That should have been a lesson or a sign right? Nope. Once I got accepted I went back to not giving a fukk. The summer went by and I didnt even check up on shyt, and the deadline for getting a dorm and all that shyt was too late. So I had to stay home. No biggie tho right? I can always go to a community college.
Fall 2012
So thats what I did.Went to a JUCO. But Zay, you're 17 years old, out of HS, in college don't you want a job, or a car so you can get out and start living life? Did I? Yes. Was i willing to work towards either? Nope. The first semester of college, I just cruised through it, and luckily for me, by the end of it, my moms ended up helping me get a job with a real estate agent she knows. This was good for me. I was getting pretty good money for a kid fresh outta HS. I was getting paid like 150 a week, but at the same time, i only worked like 6 hours a week. What more can a lazy nikka like me ask for? Eventually my mom got a new car, so she gave me the old one.
Ahhhh, everything is coming so easy for me. I only put in about 3 job applications in 2 years, didnt take school seriously this semester, but at the end of the year, despite not doing shyt, I end up with a good job and a car all too myself.I must be the luckiest person ever huh?
So now in
2013 I have money, a car, and starting to get girls. Im finally legal too. Since I wasnt focused on school, a lot of days I skipped and just went out every weekend. Spending money, driving all around the DFW, fuccing different girls. Around the spring time of that year, I contracted a STD. Luckily for me it was curable. This should have been a sign to slow down. And I did, sex wise I slowed down. But as far as making bad decisions with money and school, nothing changed. At the end of the semester my grades reflected my lifestyle. I was put on academic SUSPENSION. But me, I didnt give a fukk. I was getting money, had a car, had friends, and the summer was finna start.
Summer of 2013 was cool, the only thing was I slipped back into my ways, having sex with several different people the first night I met them. During this time I did not contract a STD but did get another urine infection which I assume was from having unprotected sex. One thing about the summer tho. Was my money was slowing down. Instead of getting 150-250 for 6-8 hours of work, i was getting around 80 bucks a week now, since my bosses business had slowed down.
Now Fall of 2013.
I'm on academic suspension. Can't go back to school. Don;t have as much money as I did, and alot of the "friends" I made earlier that year abandoned me.(seriously)
My funds were REALLY getting low, but one day while driving for my job, I got into a car wreck. Was rear ended from the back. So since it was the persons fault, i got a settlement.
I was givin 4500 for the car, and 750 for health.
I gave the 4500 to my mom, but kept the 750$ for myself.
Now you would think.
"Hmm, just when I was really low on money, I get 750$ out the blue. I got enough money to go back to school now, or put towards a new car"
But what did I do with my money?
Went right back to my old habits. Spent it on girls, food. Im talking spending 30 dollars at lil cesars.
The only difference was this time I didnt have a car. But I still had a job so i was still making a lil bit of money.
Eventually my boss had no more work. But even still i continued to spend it on girls and bullshyt til i started running low. I decided I was gonna buy weed with the rest of the money I had. (Mind you at the time I got the 750 I had about 250 dollars i was posed to pay back for my credit card, I didnt pay shyt but about 25 dollars.)
But yea anyway, I bought weed, went to the bank, withdrew every penny I had and jumped head first into the weed game. Luckily for me, I got lucky AGAIN and ended up selling all my shyt and doubling my money.
Wow, I caught ANOTHER brreak. I got money again, and school starts back in just a few weeks. So what do i do for december? Go back to spending my money on girls. Food. Clothes. Parties. Giving weed away for free to people i was close to. Giving away money to people who claim they would pay back.
2014
I end up with no more money, no more weed. My brother stole all my weed and some of my money.
I had around 50 dollars to my name and only 3 grams of weed.
I had to leave since my own house was stealing from me. My girl told me I can stay with her, so I came out ehre, with 50 dollar and 3 grams.My first few days out here tho, my old habits caught up with me. I had ANOTHER STD(actually the same one) And I had to have my girl drive me to the clinic so i can get cured. I been doing good so far tho. Been out here for about 2 weeks. Really focusing on music and me and my girl both do job applications online and offline every week.
Trying to get my shyt together.
This shyt is real, It hasnt even been 2 years since i graudated HS but my poor life decisions bought me here. Despite being lazy and just not caring about my life, I caught break, after break after break and still couldnt learn my lesson. Be wise,
