Not likely at all even though I wish they would. There was some type of study done recently where an alarming amount of US citizens get their news from Tiktok. You can't let a foreign app have that much control over your population.

The flip side of it is that if the US bans it, it would make the US look like China and Iran and Russia and other countries that ban their citizens from certain apps and internet privileges.

I think it's worth the risk tho. Tiktok is ruining American minds at a faster clip than other social media apps.

They get their news from there cuz it's easier to reach a mass audience. Most of the younger generation not watching the local news or a cable news network. Unless there's a hurricane pending, I don't even bother with the local news. Plus people can post actual facts and opinions on there not just MSM inspired talking points. Tho I know channels like CNN and Fox News have accounts on there. It has over 1 billion users. Plus people really be on the front lines. Motherfukkers be live streaming in the middle of some protests or other crazy shyt in some random ass country. Or they just be walking around showing others where they from. Not to mention the ability to promote your business on there. Especially if you're able to ship the product.

People want access to their news at their own pace, that's what social media does. Nobody interested in watching tv for news.
