I've never seen a player get so much credit for the offense yet you act dumbfounded when the offense puts in bad performances and he gets criticized. Dude has played 23 playoff games and has a losing record, that's BAD

Teams win and lose. Records aren't an individual statistic no matter how hard ESPN tries.

6-5 in the playoffs, 2-4 since the Super Bowl.

Him and the team keep fukking up... just like in the 2nd half of Favre's career after Super Bowl 32.

Favre got all kinds of criticism.

Favre got all kinds of criticism.

Its cause his INTs came at the worst times :smh:

2001: 6 INTs vs. the Rams
2003: INT in OT which was thrown to no one in particular vs. Eagles in the 4th and 26 game
2004: 4 INTs vs. the Vikings in the Randy Moss mooning Lambeau game
2007: INT in the NFC Title Game in OT when he had wide open Ryan Grant in the flat with no one around him

And of course

2009: INT vs. the Saints in the NFC Title Game that cost the Vikings a trip to the Super Bowl

Rodgers, for as underwhelming as he's played in both his NFC Title games hasn't thrown 4+ INTs in a game ever.

The Arizona loss in 2009 where he got sacked and the ball fumbled for the TD to win the game for the Cards... I think everyone could see on replay he got face masked :to: and the play before he nearly ended it with a pass for an 80 yard TD.

I think the criticism will start to mount if the Packers get back to the playoffs and keep royally screwing themselves over the next few years while Rodgers pulls a Manning and wins regular season championships.

Favre also had the huge int thrown in OT leading to the Giants going to the SB (not to mention the int when he was with the Vikings). Rodgers hasn't had anything like that the last three seasons they've been getting eliminated in the playoffs. If those early ints Rodgers threw would have caused GB to be behind in the game resulting in a loss or if he would have failed to lead them down the field to go to OT he might be getting blame today.
I think the thing about Peyton with people is his regular season stats and record are amazing that anybody would look at it and clearly have him as the best ever, but come playoff time his numbers/play is not the same along with the sub .500 record. No one was going to blame Peyton for the Ravens loss when Moore made the boneheaded play, but once OT came Peyton throws the int that led to the Ravens win.

underrated favre pick tbh.
I remember this board thinking only favre and packers can beat 'the empire' of pats and packers fan being absolutely LIVID about that pick...while giants fans remembered the pick against philly right away :pachaha:

I naively thought Favre had gotten it out of his system. That was McCarthy's first playoff run as HC, Favre had an outstanding 2007... reduced his picks to only 15 and had nearly 28 TDs IIRC. McCarthy's teams are very good at turnover differential, one thing that's been consistent.

Donald Driver took the blame for the pick and said he ran the wrong route. But I think he was just trying to take the blame off Favre.

Are you trying to tell me those 2 picks didn't hurt them? The last one for sure did. Lets be real, the criticism is dependent on whether you're well liked or not. Folk woulda had a field day (they did) if Peyton lost like Rogers did. I love Rodgers btw. Dude is a monster, but the last few playoffs have been OK at best. Fukk the stats.
