Will they come out like they did in 08 and 12? Or will we see a huge drop off? :yeshrug:

That's a very good question. I'd like to see us come back out at every election like this but voting really isn't that deep into our culture like that just yet. But this has been a very good sign for the future imo

I think we'll see a drop off...maybe not too much, depending on the candidates.

This election has made Black folk more politically aware. That's not going to change.

All because of :obama:

Black folks didn't come out in 2010, they won't come out in 2014, and they will not come out in 2016.
This idea that black people have become more politically active/involved is bullshyt. Black people like to vote for Barack Obama; take him off the ballot and the black voters stay home.

Just what I was about to say. That's unfortunate because I think this election has shown Republicans that they can no longer survive not giving a fukk about the minority vote. We have a chance to change the course of this country right now

Turnout is lower for everybody for midterms, but we'll still have decent turnout in 2016. It'll probably be slightly lower but I don't see any huge drop.

People act like black people never voted before 2008 or something. :childplease:

The youth and minorities are going to come out going forward in presidential elections because we came out not because of obama alone, but because we saw thei portance and value in voting....shyt, the VOTE OR DIE campaign in 2000 started the movement
