So how many more times are we gonna get a "meh" show with a good/great card??

PPV shoulda been way better with that card

Seems to me we've been saying this shyt for almost two years.

WWE's roster has so many entertaining wrestlers that no matter how shytty the booking is, when you see the card they have for a PPV you end up saying ":ehh: product may be shytty but that card might have a couple of really good matches". But I feel that most of the time we get a really underwhelming show because of horrible placement of matches, bad finishes and wrestlers under performing.

With brand exclusive big shows coming up, y'all think we'll get more of the same, even worse shows or surprisingly good events? :patrice:

Smackdown should be fine at the top of the card for their branded PPVs. They have AJ Styles who is champion in waiting now, and he'll elicit a response out of any crowd.

Raw is kinda hosed. Finn winning the title tonight was a good thing until you realize they're going to lock him in a feud with Seth because they have no other choices at the top of the card.

Everything under the main events will be status quo on both shows. Good matches, meh storylines, and shytty builds for Raw. I'm not even saying this as an #SDSet guy, just based on how the booking has shaken out since the split.

Join the movement brehs :blessed:
I think those SD shows are going to be much better just cause we expect way less out of that crew :yeshrug:

This is kinda my point though, we've been thinking great workers will overcome shytty booking and card placement for 1 night on PPVs but we really haven't seen that in the last 2 years. Like of the last 20 PPVs I'd bet we could count in one hand the amount of shows that either lived up to their card potential or surpassed it to the point of becoming a really good show.

The only reason I would give SD! a better chance is because Ryan Ward has shown to be really good at big shows so one would expect the more talented workers be put in positions to shine and deliver on PPV. But who knows if that's gonna work under Cokeboy :francis:

RAW has Rusev, Reigns, Fella, Cesaro, Zayn and Owens (and Cruiserweights coming) to put some really interesting cards, but I have zero faith in them not falling into the same shyt we've been seeing this last year and a half :beli:

Booking is so important to cards, getting people to care about matches and react in the right way is an art :wow: And a fukking terrible finish can ruin a good match. I don't have any confidence in shows anymore, creative will fukk up.

Exactly, that's kind of my point. At what point do we stop having faith in the talent on the roster being able to overcome shytty booking and placement for 1 night? These are dark days breh, gonna have to go back to watching old school puro and territories to get that itch back, Big Japan and DDT don't have enough important shows for me to get my fix :mjcry:

Glad I didn't pay for this shyt..free Network for the W. But Nakamura and Asuka deserve BIG PROPS from this weekend...Bayley too.

I still haven't looked at Roode's entrance...will check it out after I watch these 3 episodes of Ballers back to back.

No one is saying they are trash. But they keep under performing considering the matches and talent involved in most of their PPV cards.
This is the E we're talking about. :comeon:

You guys are still holding on to hope for some shyt to be better. :mjlol:

I had no expectations for this show and it was decent.

When it comes to WWE, leave expectations out of your head.

So I went back and looked at the last 20 PPVs (not counting NXT Takeovers) to test this out. So far I have:

Roadblock (shouldn't count)
Elimination Chamber
Beast in the East (shouldn't count)
Battleground 2015
Summerslam 2015
WrestleMania 31

As shows where I enjoyed the majority of the wrestling and the storyline progression. This isn't good. :francis:
I took the Takeover specials out because it's a "separate brand" and I have enjoyed all of those, but this could be because of lowered expectations/shorter runtime/knowing that some matches may not work because its still developmental.

I thought Summerslam was their best show so far. Leagues better than this year's Wrestlemania.

Smackdown need Aj Styles as World champ pronto.

That Ambrose vs ziggler match was embarrassing.:francis:

I think the raw ppvs will be lit, but smackdown:ld:

Smackdown`s talent pool isn't really impressive and if that world title match is any indication of what the future holds for them then they're in trouble.:yeshrug:
