Only social racial commentary in Hidden Colors is half way right, other wise the science and history in HIdden Colors is mostly false and farse. HIdden Colors is typical fake black scholar stuff that attempts for nikkas trying to take history not theirs ie nikkas being in America called the Moors and Ainu Japanese being black. All kind of crap in there is wrong.

The story of the way blacks are oppressed in the US is alright , but you would have to have half a brain to not know how nikkas are treated in this country.

Tariq wants to diss conscious dudes and then move like a Conscious dude. Something ain't right and yall need to wake up and read books.

A lot people on here are getting caught up in downing somebody because they are putting together a series of documentaries, entertaining or otherwise that give Blacks a sense of their history and what place we've had on earth. People are speaking from a platform of ignorance, self hate or flat out bigotry when they focus all of their energy trying to discredit a project, yet never had the motivation or scholarly knowledge to gather information themselves and put it out for free. If the fact of Tariq charging people is a problem, don't support, but it's childish and ignorant to dog someone who is supporting someone who's Black and is putting the information out here. Their are a lot of ignorant Black people out here existing because they feel that racism doesn't affect them because they've never been called a "******" or they get to fukk around with some thin lipped, oddly shaped white chick while they are in school.

The sad thing is, the people who need to see the Hidden Colors series wont.

It's not the sole determination, and you can't quote me saying that it is. Skin color is controlled by multiple genes. Also your mother may be African American, but she certainly has in excess of the usual 15-18% European DNA that most AA have if she is lighter than some whites. In fact those very whites that you speak of may have African DNA too. I think it's something like 30% of American whites have about 3% African DNA.
Source for the 15-18%? I can't find it anywhere.

Wrong, the number 1 black history documentary on amazon. Just amazon no where else, it's not on Netflix, tv, or in major movie theaters. I never shot a movie and I'm sure since you got one you know more about the cost of making one than I do. How much did you spending making you movie? I asked my brother who is a news producer if Tariq should be crowdfunding and he said that it does cost a lot to make movies with film equipment, travel expense, paying assistants, editing, paying the speakers, etc. Like I said if you've put out a documentary and it costed less than $140,000 to market, distribute, edit, and put together then I'll be happy to watch it and i'll buy what you're saying.

He has showed proof that he invest in the community . He spends his money with black businesses and black people he shows this all the time.

Stop worrying about where people spending their money. The man has an open phone line to call and tell him he is pimping people he is open to talk about it on twitter.

Have you guys looked at some of the bullshyt that gets funding on Kickstarter?

I just wrote this in the chinese food thread but this looks like the perfect place to post it:

Anytime we talk about black positivity and how we need to change things there's always a couple of posters coming in asking "well what are you doing??"

The truth is that most of us aren't in the position to affect change if we follow the current dogma of economic and monetary based empowerment. We're not business owners or millionaires. It's not like we can stop shopping at white owned stores or eating white grown food or anything silly like that. According to what's being pushed by the black voices a lot of us are dead weight.

This line of thought is an impediment to growth. Individual growth and growth as a people. It makes you feel like the only thing you can do to make a difference is to cut a check. I think a lot of black leaders push this line of thought to convince their supporters that their only worth is their wallet so they keep sending them money. Even the good ones have this trait unfortunately

What we need to do is consistently push black positivity online. And this is something any one of us can do, regardless of circumstance. And this is just as important as any black owned business or venture because the biggest battle that is being fought right now is a battle of the mind. Even the murders of Mike Brown and Trayvon Martin have been mostly a spiritual blow. None of us were affected financially or economically by those deaths. But when they made us watch as they murdered black boy after black boy, with the message being that next time it might be you, well.... they might as well have taken taken that gun and shot us straight in the soul.

I wanted to avoid naming names but I guarantee a black power twitter account with a half a million followers would make 10x more difference than any school doctor Umar could start or all the hidden colors put together. And there's no donations necessary to do something like that.

Once we have the ideology in place everything else follows. But they've got you so focused on starting your own business or going to Africa that it doesn't even occur to you that you could make a bigger difference just by logging onto twitter

All this keeping our money inside the community is bullshyt to me. It seems like something somebody said one time that got parroted into something much bigger than it is. Plus it completely skips the point. You will never convince black people to spend money on black businesses when we're all brainwashed to hate ourselves. It will be like herding cats and ultimately it just will not work. When a black person inundated with years of self hate programming walks into your store and see your black face behind the counter you are fooling yourself if you think they're gonna be a loyal customer. They might come back once or twice out of guilt but ultimately they will find a reason to keep shopping at whitey or chiney.

People have been preaching this shyt for years and what has it gotten us? Nothing except a few documentaries and a promise of a school.

Nobody has to tell the Chinese to buy Chinese. Nobody has to tell the hispanics or the Arabs that. They love themselves and feel happy and comfortable when they see their own face behind the counter. That's all it takes.
