once I saw from the director who brought you the help I was like

lol, "director of the help" really messed it up for me.

it kinda looks only a notch above a made for tv biopic, which is not terrible, just not very artistic. this guy is way too tall to play james but he has the face. i will give it a shot.

so homie has become the go to actor for black biopics? this looks like a tv movie...hopefully it's good...but i'm skeptical...james brown deserves greatness.

They didn't make James Brown look crazy enough. James Brown was out of his fukking mind.

saw this movie earlier tonight and this shyt was great. I went in with the same thoughts as above about it looking a little formulaic and TVish but I was wrong, they did their thing. the lead was egocentric, crazy, and charismatic as hell as James Brown. great music all the way throughout and there was definitely a sense of pro black/anti CACness the whole film. thoroughly entertaining..............
