So I been in Queens, NY for a month now...[Random Observations]

--I been to some clubs out here in Manhattan and Queens, and they ALL had the same playlist
One spot played Hot Nikka like 5 times in a 2 hour span... In Love with Coco, IDFWU, and that Troy Ave All about the Money are the "hottest" tracks right now.
Not complaining but, is there any spots that play a more diverse hip-hop mix? Like go into 80's, 90's, 00's a lil bit? Hot Nikka is played the fukk out

Bonus points if u ride all the way out to Far Rockaway....... and make it back unscathed

you have to do it past midnight. i used to stay in the heights and wprked in BK 2nd shift..saw it all damn near.

and while nyc is not what it used to be, it was, is, and always will be The Best.

Breh we off that club shyt in NY to be honest. The lines, the unreasonable admission (for many place), and these fukkboy security guards are all reasons to be off that shyt. These days alot of people hit up a lounge that has music. Now, it wont be turnt up like a club but you will get a diverse crowd and actually be able to holler at females. If I do hit up a club, its based on who is spinning and not the venue. It's not like these are the days when the Tunnel/Carbon/Exit was popping and you KNEW it was worth going to these places.

So rather than club, I hit a lounge, bar/sports bar, beer garden or a live music spot.

I been to some hookah lounges over on Steinway, but they were overpriced and the music was typical. The crowd was hipster/ white college chicks going wild. I need to venture out, I guess to some more hood spots to get a good music vibe.

breh don't even fukk with these hookah lounges even if the joints in Astoria look authentic. You don't even need to go to the hood for authentic shyt because you'll be disappointed and all of the hood spots are on that club shyt.

TBH your best bet is to find spots that you discover on your own. Obviously theres gonna be shyt poppin off in Manhattan but Brooklyn has its spots too and Uptown/Harlem is a serious contender these days.

Honestly, Im not even a club/ turnup type dude. Im definitely down with a more relaxed environment. But at the same time, Im not into sitting around sipping wine, listening to Billie Holiday.

My advice is to hit the spots up that have DJs you fukk with. I like hip hop/r&b and all that but I fukks with house music too and house is one of those genres where there are legendary DJs that get insane amounts of respect and people turn out to their gigs + its a great vibe. Its a strategy that works for me and I know I'm not gonna walk into a spot and feel like I wanna immediately walk the fukk out.
