I will tell you guys this about K-Rino...I'm not a big fan of his but there has been times that I couldn't listen to some rappers after I listened to his sh!t because it seemed so vacuous in comparison. Dude does get really deep and he should be acknowledged for that and his longevity and above average mic skills.

This is all we're saying breh. There is no way you can be a living breathing, conscious, black man and not appreciate the lyrics and lyrical ability. Honestly, the more i listen to K-rino, the harder it is to listen to other shyt. Plus the fact i've really only heard 5 of this nikka's 30+ album discography is daunting as fukk.

Just off of the fact he is so consistent and prolific is what makes me ride for him. Real MC's like this brother need to be championed. Sadly, his style was so common back in the day. Canibus, Rass Kass, Kurupt, and a bunch of other cats used to be on that super lyrical, conscious tip. Not sure what happend...:manny:

Bro, you know what happened. Jay told you. That conscious brand of rap just isn't lucrative enough. For the labels and/or the artists. Nowadays it's more about the money, more than ever.

I have very high standards with the Hip Hop I listen to because I listen to the illest shyt and have expertise. Some may think I'm harsh but I'm honest, some of the shyt that amazes people just doesn't amaze me cause I've heard much better, even while I can respect everyone for their individual merits if deserved. Think Kool Moe Dee said you hear a lot of opinion but rarely expertise, I'm 1 (and far from the only 1, even some on this board) that have in depth expertise so opinions are always valuable, whether 1 disagrees or not. There's certain people, even when we disagree I know they know what they're talking about so at least respect their opinion. But far too many people are mindless and clueless when it comes to Hip Hop and about things like lyrics. Like you said in the bolded part, that shyt is true. I listen to a huge variety of Hip Hop but could easily spend a day just listening to K-Rino because he has so much quality work. He is to be respected at the least, and would highly recommend checking the work. May seem overwhelming at first or take time but when you understand it will be 1 of the greatest things musically you've done, and for many in all honesty in their life. I've always been conscious but I've heard many say K-Rino's music and lyrics have changed their lives completely, not 1 or 2 either but countless. I will say he his music has related to me deeply in many different ways on many different subjects and helped uplift through hard times and tribulations. You can't thank an artist enough for that, cause it's almost like personal help, so just have to be supportive. And no doubt, he has a run from Blood Doctrine onwards I believe to be 1 of the greatest runs in Hip Hop history album wise. Phenomenal. No doubt, if real people don't stand up for real artists the fakes gonna continue to rule forever.
