No lie...I'm willing to leave my 9-5 office govt job to expolore the world

Yes I'm taking huge pay cut but imagine the pros :whew:

Anyways I need your opinion y'all

My mom was a flight attendant for 30+ years with American Airlines. Traveling the world means absolutely nothing when you are not making enough $$$$ to enjoy the countries you are visiting. A regular McDonalds combo meal in France will run you the equivalent of around $15 bucks. My mom would always pack her food in her luggage and chill around the hotel areas.

Very good point. What is traveling when you don't have the money to enjoy it? But at least OP currently has a good govt job. He can start saving while applying so he's more financially comfortable than the rest.

Flight attendants are given shyt pay, there's not much opportunity for advancement and you are on your feet the whole damn time. You have to put up with my rude people from the general public that disrespect you and have unreal expections. One time Mom's said a customer tried to report for not SMILING enough when serving refreshments, seriously.

A Flight Attendant earns an average wage of C$22.63 per hour. Most people with this job move on to other positions after 10 years in this career.

 idk if it works the same way in canada as it does here in the U.S but you start off making shyt , and will take you a long time to get to that $20 a hour rate, and am talkin about 15 + years , i hate flying i could never do it, my cousin moved on after 6 years, the hours/shifts/lifestyle were too stressful , its one of those type of jobs that really takes up your whole life
