He could just ask her whats going on. If she lie then its his fault for being with her. Bottom line sneaking around looking through the phone shows that his old wounds havent healed yet. He shouldnt even be in a relationship.

people tend to not do any housekeeping on their text messages because nobody else but them is supposed to see them. usually their text message inbox is a written record of all their dirt.
