So I messed up and started watching Scandal on Netflix today

Ending up watching the whole season (or what I thought was the whole season) because Netflix only had 7 episodes on it.

Come to find out this mothafukkin show in it's 2nd season? Or Am I Wrong?

I was helping my sister move yesterday and she put on the first episode and I got hooked brehs Yes there is hella c00ning in here but I'll let that slide for a show where a Black female lead is the brains of the whole operation and feared/respected

A part of me does say this is auto-c00ning our black queens on a subconscious level, a Black women just volunteers for The Grand Ol Plantation and starts fukking the head slave massa, but atleast she employs one brother in her firm full of cacs

I saw the first episode and I wasn't impressed. The way she saved her client is evidence the police would have stumbled upon in the first place, maybe I should give it another chance

I agree breh, I'm torn because Olivia Pope as a character is something network TV is missing, a powerful educated modern black woman.

But then the CAC producers had to throw in her being a white man's mistress and saving The Republican Party from failure to balance out the progress that was made

The writer/ executive producer/ creator is a black woman, Shonda Rhimes, who is also the brains behind Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

You got caught up because she has excellent writers and because it's the best show on TV right now.

Thanks for that info. But I'm sure one or more of the higher-up network executives made several "suggestions" on ways to take the show to make it more CAC-Friendly.

The writing is pretty impressive though, even had me laughing a few times, and the way they develop the characters and storylines with the flashback in like episode 4 was really interesting.....had no idea a Black woman wrote this I would have guessed they just threw in a black lead on some affirmative action type shyt after the script was already done.

You do know that Olivia Pope is a real person right? She does this in real life. The real Olivia is Judy Smith and its based on her life/ profession. Originally the President was suppose to be her dad but that was axed when it was deemed too boring. She rewrote it to include the affair which definitely spiced it up. The President at the time in Judy's life was George H. W. Bush and no they did not have an affair.

It's not shocking to me that a black woman would behind the concept of a white president having black mistresses. You know how many black women was like did JFK have any black mistresses.

Is this show really that good? Everybody is going over it. I caught a couple minutes of it last week, seems like your regular network tv drama.

You're pouring strawberry smuckers on ya self if you get caught up in this show. House of Cards EASILY shyts on Scandal. Better acting, better storylines, more believable, etc....GOAT show of the moment. You losing if you aren't watching

Not sure why any self respecting black man would watch this or any show where the black man is some asexual virgin whilst the black woman and the white man get it on.
Its basically a white man and a black female who hates black men pipe dream come true, and you nikkaz willingly watch and support it. Smh
