The labour force participation is in decline when unemployment rate is low means that productivity is picking up the slack because babyboomers are exiting the workforce.

Since the 1960s until around the year 2000 labour force participation has increased because of baby boomer (1946-1964) entered their prime working years while females entered the workforce in records numbers. After 2000 LRPR started to decline as they went into retirement. Tell those idiots they anyone even they know different ages work differently 16 to 40 is around the peak and after retirement age, it falls off the map. This affects the aggregate calculation of the labour force participation rate.

Productivity gains drive the economy now not labour participation rate as things become better as well do stuff.
