oh i know, when i took math in college, i would hear them talking about how hard shyt was going and that they were barely going to pass.
What's the hardest level of math you took in college? Calc 2 kicking my ass. A combination of terrible professors that I don't understand during lecture, problems on the test that are much harder than the ones we did in class, and a lack of studying fukked me over.

I will admit that the highest level that i took was Business Calculus. I didn't graduate high school because my grades were so bad, so after i got my degree through an adult-ed program, i had to take a remedial math my first semester in college. I did so well in that one that the teacher banned me from taking the final. Then i took college algebra, got an A with ease, then trigonometry, then business calculus. Did not study for trig and got a B, got an A with absolute minimum effort in Business Calc. I find most college classes fall into 1 of 2 categories, easy A's and then other classes. The easy A's are classes you can just goof off in and still get an A. All the other ones are the exact same for me, just read over the chapter 2 or 3 times, and do the practice problems. But to be fair, once i read a chapter more than twice, I pretty much have it memorized, so it isn't the same as when most people do it. Don't know, math is just pretty much a joke to me, always has been. That's just me though. Do you go to office hours? And do they give you homework to do on your own time? And is the homework online?

You mean to tell me that you're bragging about Business Calc? :stopitslime:
i'm not bragging about business calculus, just classes in general are easy. literally ANY class that i take is the same, that's how i know i would destroy calculus as well. I told you i am very intelligent, like highly intelligent, i wasn't just talking. I would memorize any formulas they have with ease and be able to instantly understand just about any concept the prof was trying to convey. If for some reason i didn't, i would go to the office hours and he would explain it there where i 100 percent would understand before i left. After that, there isn't really any test that he can give me where i won't make an a or a b. ANd the b would be a meltdown grade. If i took Calculus next semester, it wouldn't even be the hardest shyt that i ever took.

I could do this in community college and high school. All I had to do was pay attention in class, take notes and review my notes the night before a test and I got A's. Transferred to a four year University and straight bombing midterms left and right. Most professors are foreign with accents so trying to understand them is a bytch, professors teach in a way expecting that you already taught yourself the material and that you understand it, etc. All that combined with having to know a huge amount of information and the fact that I've been procrastinating my whole life when it comes to school has thoroughly fukked me over.

They aren't easy classes though ie Calculus 2, Computer Programming classes, Chemistry etc.

how do you study and do you go to office hours or have a tutor
How I study depends on the class. Let's say Calculus 2. I watch YouTube videos to get a grasp on the concept to refresh my mind, then I do the examples we did in class. I also memorize the formulas and how to figure out which technique to use. Basically what I did.

For computer programming classes I study what they give called problem sets, which are a set of problems, read the assigned chapters, go over my notes, go over class slides professor uses in class, etc.

I also attend every class. I may miss a total of 3 classes per semester if I'm using that time to study for another class. I don't really go to office hours because I commute from home and I often have classes when my professors had their office hours but I have gone to tutoring multiple times. I didn't find it really helpful as those people clearly don't have licenses to teach and it isn't time efficient either. They literally take 30 minutes to explain a problem that can be explained in 5 minutes.

My problem is probably studying the day or several days before an exam. That's what thoroughly fukks me over, plus questions on the exam being harder than the ones in class. Ultimately though, the onus is on me and I need to study more consistently, smarter and reach out for help if needed.
