No. People join the military for different reasons. One being they are out of options. Or another they don't like school and don't want to go to college. Most of my friends in high school joined the Marines because they said "f*ck college." My Honduran friend wanted me to join, but I strictly told him no, because unlike him and my other friends I'm still not out of options and the Marines isn't for me.

But I DO understand why some people would think black men joining the Marine is c00ning...But there are a lot of factors though.
