How is benefiting itself c00nary? That makes no sense. And didn't not say joining the military is NOT c00ning?
If that's c00nary from your perspective. Then yeah its okay. It's actually smart.
Also most people who join the military(at least from what I personally see), are not joining for some patriotic BS but for the benefit for themselves.
If they are not of the Special Forces, Marine Ops, US Army Rangers, Navy Seals or any other Elite fraction of the military, then I doubt is out of being patriotic. Especially of you are a person of color. Heck which is why you see a lot of people of color underrepresented in the Navy Seals and other Elite fractions. Not because they can't do it but because the military in the first place wasn't really their main focus. They just wanted to reap the benefits and be done.
