Man I'll be honest...some of those dudes are full of it...received bad discharges. Have bad attitudes....or are lazy....only ones who I commend is the disabled vets.

No regular discharged vet should be unemployed for long and if they do what they are supposed to do while in like going to school getting Certs than they will be employed. Besides businesses get veteran tax breaks and a whole host of benefits by hiring vets.

I will say this...

In the military and there's a lot of bullshyt that goes on... Some of it didn't sit well with me.


I've met good ppl of every race that have hooked me up and looked out for me and vice versa.

I didnt trust a lot of higher ranking people in general though, unless they show me otherwise... Hell, I could say that for low ranking too. Muthafukkas will snitch like it's in style and it's just like the real world... Figuring out who u can trust


I wasn't in the business of trying to kill anyone, so I chose a job I could get in and learn, serve, and get out. When I first joined, I got into a lot of trouble with higher ups trying me like I wasn't human... When I got hip to things and earned shyt to lose, I just tried to keep a low profile

It's definitely not for everyone but I never discourage anyone joining as a stepping stone. If you stay in, even better. We need more minority captains, Admirals, Generals, etc. just don't forget where you come from... Which is what a lot of people do

My dad was in the military and there were some down ass dudes that looked out for our fam that were of other races and there were ones that acted like they were super uncomfortable around black people. Just learn to avoid them because they are usually pretty airheaded and easy to remove from your life. Just remember that a lot of dudes are just trying to earn a living and have a little fun doing it. You'll fit in if you are somewhat normally adjusted.
