So I'm about to watch The Wire season 5 for the first time.....

And I wanted to know if it's as bad as i've heard. Of course I should watch it and have my own opinion but I just want to know if there is anything I can look forward to?
If you go into it hearing it's terrible, you'll be pleasantly surprised because it's not that bad. But it's pretty bad. The main story line is boring/border line nonsensical and a few characters were acting out of character.

Like the other dude said, Season Five isn't that bad, it's just the worse of the series and The Wire is one of the greatest television shows ever made (greatest IMO) so it's worst season is going to be overblown. It is good though, and the main plot is very, very far fetched but it's still a good season of television. You have to watch it because it kind of ends everything, so don't listen to that "it should of ended at season four shyt". Remember though, season three was supposed to be the last, and that in the middle of filming season five they were notified that there budget was cut from 16 episodes to 10, so that also plays into the "rushed" feeling of season five.
