So I'm just watching a Typer Perry movie for the 1st time

Now that i got that out the way, I've seen two movies of his. First one (Meet the Browns) was absolutely horrible. Sh!t was torture to sit through. To ths day i still curse the girl i was with for picking that sh!t. We walked out midway through the movie.

The second one was "okay" at best.

I have nothing against dude but i think he's both overrated and over criticized.

His movies are pretty simplistic with a moral message. I noticed that black media entrepreneurs have to cater to the lowest common denominator in order to make money: BET, World Star, Media Takeout, etc.

I am really impressed with Tyler Perry's amazing business sense and appreciate that the majority of his characters are decent people.

I recommend I Can Do Bad All By Myself and Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Do NOT watch The Family That Preys. It is awful, has a beginning and an end but no middle.

Tyler Perry's movies aren't bad at all. The movies that he plays Madea in aren't as good as other ones in my opinion but there still enjoyable. Most black men don't like him because he makes black men look bad. But none of his movies are unrealistic when it comes to the plot. The bottom line is men do this shyt. So of course they are gonna get mad when a movie shows it.

to be honest with you, breh... the very first time I watched Tyler Perry was because of a woman.

Other than that, I probably never would have watched him.

Something about a 6 ft fakkit crossdressing just didn't appeal to me...

But the woman I was trying to get at, at the time, recommended I watch some of his stuff....

I kinda had the but then I was like

so i watched his first two movies.... and they weren't.... bad....

but I'm not saying they're that good either



I mean, they're good for what they're worth.

In a sense, you gotta give props to Tyler Perry... dude found his lane and he stayed in it

It was a lane filled with lots of corny stories and fakkitry, but it's his lane nonetheless.

Temptation was aight. It was predictable though....

I just watched it cause I been crushing on Jurnee Smollett since I was 12....
