you what? first of all aint no one cares if you are downloading torrents or from rapidshare or whatever

How can you get bored with something that never stops changing? There is something new every second on the internet, so there's always something to learn or play with.

There is no dark age ahead of us. The only thing happening to the networks connecting us all is the pipes are getting thicker, and the connections are getting quicker. As long as you're paying the folks who build those pipes, and learning the magic of i/o, the free flow of data will never end.

Sure it might get threatened, but by the very nature of how this all works we literally skip right over it and subsequently fry our minds on all the nonsense to be consumed.
