*countdown to race track in 5...4..*

So, I'm coming in from a walk to my family's place when my mom and my grandma are watching the TV and some Nancy Grace type show is on (I don't know the name, I don't pay attention to TV).

This 18-year old girl named Hannah Graham has been missing for a while and police are devoting a manhunt to her...somehow, someway, for some reason (even in the midsts of Ferguson, MO and the Mike Brown/Darren Wilson saga) this missing persons case warrants ALL of the media attention at this moment. (even though many people go missing everyday...)

This guy is the suspect in the case...and apparently the last person this girl was with...

On this very show, this woman is talking about other missing women and this man and another possible suspect (more than likely another black guy) going on a "serial raping spree"...My mom and grandma were going along with it, while I was just sickened by this development in the story completely.

1. So with the Ray Rice incident, the other NFL player who abused his child, and another NFL case...we now have this to add to the anti black male agenda...
2. 64,000 black women are currently missing in the United States...why haven't I seen any one of them take up such massive amounts of media airtime in an effort to find them?
3. I guess the media has decided that the events in Ferguson, MO and the case regarding Mike Brown and Darren Wilson (who has disappeared andd hasn't been charged with anything in almost 2 MONTHS) isn't new worthy anymore because seeing black people as victims is not what the public wants...they want a bad guy!

Regardless...I hope everyone sees the bigger picture, or is atleast somewhat interested or concerned why this case is in the news now...

Out here in my damn drawls
I've been in 4 airports since last week and they don't change the channels. Hours of this shyt, breh

How does 1 supposed kidnapping of a drunk college party girl get national attention over everyone else, and what's the odds of it being a black man being the prime suspect given the news for the past 2 weeks?(rhetorical question)

:aicmon:

It's scary how many people are unaware or apathetic about these media tricks

I live in Maryland so of course I've seen this on my news round the clock since it happened.

Shawty goes to UVA. She went to a couple parties that night and stumbled around the town blacked out drunk They got video evidence of her near some bar. They say some black guy with dreads was the last person she was seen with. Last Friday they actually got a warrant to search and confiscate his car and house. They couldn't arrest him though because they don't have anything on him. I guess they figured a way to arrest him now

I mean, hundreds, if not thousands of kidnappings a day, but THIS is the one that is chosen for the moment :snoop:

Idk if this has any bearing on why they chose to focus on this kidnapping but that area has had real strange disappearance instances in the last 5 years

However, the Route 29 corridor where Graham disappeared has a peculiar history.

According to WTVR, Graham is the fourth woman to disappear from the area since 2009. Morgan Harrington of Charlottesville, Alexis Murphy of Lovingston and Samantha Clarke of Orange also went missing there.

All the women were between 17 and 20 years old, WVIR reported.

In July, Randy Taylor, 43, was sentenced to two life terms for Murphy's 2013 abduction and murder although her body was never found, WVIR reported. Clarke's mother is still looking for answers more than four years after her 19-year-old's disappearance.

Harrington, a 20-year-old Virginia Tech student, went missing after attending a Metallica concert in Charlottesville in October 2009. Her remains were found on a farm months later.

Police have yet to track down her killer, and her family has long said they suspect there could be other victims. The T-shirt Harrington was wearing when she disappeared was found near where Graham disappeared.
