He's just not that good as a number one offensive option and he's definitely nowhere near Curry.
Hell, I'd take Conley over him too.

Rondo is a better passer and rebounder but Conley is still a great passer too. Conley is also top 2-3 defensive PG's in the game whole ALSO being a much better scorer than Rondo is.
Elite defense + great scoring + good passing > Good defense + awful scoring + elite passing
Rondo's passing isn't good enough for me to take him over a player who is a much better scorer and better defender.

Hell no. Conley has been a better defender than Rondo for the past 3 years easily and he's still getting better. Rondo was elite when he had KG anchoring him but now he's just good without him.
Conley has shown to be elite even when Gasol was injured. Conley is a better defender than Rondo, Fukk the past.

Dude, just stop. Rondo is a better defender. Period. The only reason that Rondo hasn't been getting shine thus far is because the Celtics are an inherently inferior team when compared to the teams that other elite PGs are on. Moreover, Rondo has a different skill set from most other PGs in the league. He's a pass-first and defensive-minded PG. Scoring was never his strength. Nonetheless, to even posit that he's not an elite PG is intellectually dishonest and just hating. I also love how you're ignoring the fact that Rondo missed the majority of last season with an ACL injury. Y'all act like Rondo's skills are vanishing or that he's being overtaken by other guards when the fact is that he's still getting back into his groove. And even with that said, he's already recorded 2 triple doubles this season (I think the most for any PG thus far this season). The Rondo hate on here is deep for no reason. It's making y'all spew nonsense.
The sad thing is that I'm also a big Grizzlies fan and I do like Mike Conley. My post history indicates that they're my favorite Western Conference team. But I hate when people spew nonsense and make me have to critique Conley.
