Not in the same lane. Future,Gunna and Thug are Lil Babys contemporaries.

He has a few club bangers but YFN Lucci is in that trap blues/hood melody wave. Rich Homie,NBA Youngboy,Quando Rondo,Derez Deshon,No Cap etc...their music has more of a substance/reality point of view than the rest.
Lil Baby in his own lane he’s more of a spitter and has more substance than those guys you calling his contemporaries.

I agree Lucci in the street blues/hood gospel lane with Rod Wave and all those guys you listed.

He’s still puttin out good music and he gets buzz around the city, but like somebody else said Baby and Gunna kinda took the spotlight in a whole new direction for the last couple years.

Atlanta keeps all yalls attention despite hate from coli nerds :yeshrug:there’s only so many acts from 1 city that can blow nationally / crossover at one time :yeshrug:

Top 10 in the south? As in popularity?

Baby
Gunna
Thug
Future
Rod Wave
NBA Youngboy
Migos
Travis Scott
Dolph
Moneybagg Yo
How many more names before he comes up I think he's in this discussion but most definitely in talent and street popularity

Rod a legit blue chip talent though. Most these cats ain't singing shyt without autotune.

Lucci career has alot of parallels with tory's though

I like a couple of his tapes but Thug made him uncool to a whole section of people you need to get to the next level.
and as mentioned above Durk's got that whole lane locked.

Rod Wave's music is garbage by the way.
