So is it safe to say that PlayStation NOW was a bit premature?

Let's not act like Sony has not made some mistakes recently either. Don't laugh at my xbox one cloud thread and not think that I did not take notes on SONY and hold them accountable either

What a fukking mess though. The PS Vita failed, the PS TV failed and nobody talks about PlayStation NOW after Microsoft started making 360 games backwards compatible on the XBOX WON. What exactly is SONY going to do with the 380 MILLION dollar Gaikai investment? We might have this x86 platform for the next 10-20 years thus making backwards compatibility pretty much something that console gamers can expect for a while. Sony is not going to be able to give that PS3 to PS4 excuse anymore and TBH if all the rumors about the NEO are true...there comes a time in where brute force will allow even that cell architecture to be emulated on vastly superior hardware. Sony just needs to get on their job and make that possible.

Sony will start looking foolish if they keep using excuses to justify trying to get people to buy into a "cloud" based service.

Honestly I think PS Now should just be an extra $10 yearly premium for PlayStation Plus members. I understand that it's not an easy thing to maintain, but who is actually subscribed to the service that you know? I am the only one in my circle that has actually tried it :ld:

Depends on whether it's profitable or not. Probably a long game with it
Maybe, but the experience is just not good enough for me.

The latency is still there and it hurts the experience. I tried TLOU on there and it did not feel good. Who in their right mind will pay $20 a month for this shyt? You can get 5-10 games monthly @ gamestop for that price if you still have the old hardware.

PS Now is not a PS3 BC solution.

playstation-now-devices-grid-02-us-16jul15

Devices
Why would something that's on the Vita/PS TV/ TVS and bluray players be a backwards compatibility solution? It's a service. It's $10 a month service and it allows you to play a huge library of games on a bunch of devices. Differentiate the two.

Come on Liquid u could've easily figured this out. :comeon:

I've enjoyed my time with it.

I got it for $99 for 12 months.

It's like Netflix for games and priced similarly(well the deal I got was) with a decent selection.

It's not for everyone but who cares. If anything I hope they expand on it.

Sony needs to add ps1 and ps2 games to it.

I knew you would be one of the first ones to come and :cape: for this nonsense.

The majority of people who would be interested in a service like this own one device on that list and that's the PS4. Nobody is going into Walmart or Best Buy and asking them if that Samsung TV they have on sale supports this trash expensive ass service. Sony really needs to rethink this thing because nobody talks about it after that initial buzz.

Yeah it's the pricing that bothers me more than anything else. Even @ $100 for the service seems a bit steep considering that you can get a shytload of used games for that price and have a better experience locally. Hell you can get PS3 bundles on craiglist with some good games for $100 these days.

You're reaching.

Of course the reply to you being wrong is accusing me of :cape: when your rant is just thoughtless "Sony too"

It's priced like Netflix right now.

You trying to equate it to "Buy a PS3 and some games lol" is reaching. You tryna make a connection where there isn't one. :mjlol:

Come on breh.

I only got it because of that price and I saw enough games listed that I wanted to try that it was personally worth it.

That should be the every day price. Less than $10 a month is reasonable for the amount of content. In fact they just added a bunch of new games.

Nah man, you can go to Gamestop right now and get a PS3 for $100 and buy every game on Ebay if you look right for $5-10 a piece. 400 games on PS Now?
That's about $2000 if you buy every game for $5 a piece best case scenario. :ohlawd:
