So is it safe to say that PlayStation NOW was a bit premature?

This forum is hilarious. I knew exactly how it would go.

Sony supporters quick to say it's a worthy service and one even calling it a "lifesaver" UNBELIEVABLE. PlayStation NOW...a lifesaver :russ:

I'll let y'all keep going though. I saw how this was going to go years ago when OnLive was out and fizzled after that buzz.

I like how because PS Now wasn't perfect for you, then that means every other person who's used it couldn't possibly have had a good experience with it and anyone who says so is lying. I remember you clearly hating the service and shytting on it way before even trying it. Like no one couldn't POSSIBLY use PS NOw. :snoop: You're closed minded as hell sometimes. :smh:

Or better yet, "BC is overrated no one wants to use it anyways." :mjlol:

Same ones be jumping up and down if the PS4 was full BC. The numbers of BLOPS 1 when it became BC for Xbox One speaks volumes about BC. But no one really wants it according to this board :skip:

I've enjoyed my time with it.

I got it for $99 for 12 months.

It's like Netflix for games and priced similarly(well the deal I got was) with a decent selection.

It's not for everyone but who cares. If anything I hope they expand on it.

Sony needs to add ps1 and ps2 games to it.

So... for the price, I already beat games that far exceeded that price, so yeah, I think I got my monies worth. plus, I can hop on any ps, log in and continue to play were I left off.

granted, there are more than half the games can get thrown in the bushes, there are some that are pretty good to have

Playstation Now is starting to get penetration, it is showing up on brand name TV's outside of Sony. They are positioning the Now service like Netflix or Hulu. This shyt doesn't happen overnight, they are building the infrastructure when broadband and or fiber gets better and prevalent throughout the better the service will get.

To many microwave people in our society, Netflix took a long time to knock off blockbuster, but with them being first and positioning themselves with other TV manufacturers licensing their service it is only a matter of time before you just take your remote click on "NOW" and choose a game to play.

Nah man, it has to become Google overnight or it's a big stinking failure.

Also you know what's funny about the "why not just buy a PS3 and build a library?" point?

PS Now is ON PS3 :laff:

Adding a 2nd tier to the PlayStation Plus membership makes sense IMO. PlayStation Plus WITH PlayStation now for $70-$100 I think is acceptable and will get more to jump on board to give it a shot.

Has sony ever released subscription numbers for this? I can't find it.

This was always my idea with it as well. If anything, that'd be dope to have been what PSN+ was all about all along. Keep strictly online gaming free and every single thing else have tiered levels under PSN+.

Adding a tiered PS+ level wouldn't work imo. People ain't tryna add $20-$50 on top of a upfront $50 for online play just for streaming.

The pricing right now for PS+ is pretty much the same as netflix, the only issue is that the price is a upfront $99/YR.

Netflix is $9.99 a month.

PS+ is less than that a month($99/yr)

If they had a monthly option, it'd be better. As it stands there's only a $19.99 a month option, a $30/3 month option(which is really $10/month) and the promotional 99/yr price.

What they should do is give people a free month of PS Now with a year of PS+ and then if people want it, allow a discount for a year or the $10/month price if you're a PS+ subscriber.

Thinking they're going to give you streaming games a year for only $20-
$50 when even Netflix ain't chargin that little is wishful thinking. Plus PS Now has regular games with rental fees so there's probably folks that use that but don't subscribe(which is imo expensive.)

:jbhmm::ehh: Valid points.

Yeah, they should also just have a 12-15 bucks monthly option as most folks ain't hip to paying a hunnid upfront cuz if you found out you don't utilize the service all that much, then it seems a bit much in that case. Still tho...8.25 a month for a streamed gaming service of playstation's wealth of games isn't bad at all really. They still should incorporate PS1 & PS2 games in it tho.
