I'm sure some military, politicians etc are on the narco take but thats normal in pretty much every country, you don't move drugs around the world without connections.

Venezuelans are not muslims half a world away, they are christians living in the same continent, depending of where you live they look like your neighbors, co-workers, hell even like you.
