Its fairly common for them to be lumped together though.. Kinda like an internet best buy.. When you go into an electronic story, what you are going to see? Video games, DVDs/blu rays, technology, TVs, etc..

also from the forum from which this forum was created, they were together and the forum flourished. Now you got 2 mostly dead sub forums (The arcadium is 6 feet deep already, when I go to the film room, it seems like threads aint been posted in awhile either but might be a little more active)

Even your comparison is wack because they're separated. Rock and hip hop are music but different genres.

Both forums are doing well and far from dead. Everyday there's threads being discussed. It's not about the quantity of material.

Coli, TLR and Booth will always be the dominant ones. And we all know TLR will remain on top.

Everyday I log on I have to check the first 2 pages of TFR. EVERY DAY.

Why? Because that's how far new posts are made within 12-24 hours.

Arcadium, I only check one page. But there's discussions newer on page 2. I'm just not a big gamer, so I don't feel like exploring page 2.

Arcadium threads have dipped, but blame it on the posters in here.

As long as it remains with a handful of new posts every day, these forums aren't dead.

The two are not comparable on any level. First off, the MCU vs DCEU is just a handful of posters (literally 8-10 people) arguing about a specific topic. The console wars are damn near the back bone of this sub-forum, because the main focus is video games.

You want to ignore comic debates, avoid those threads. There's dozens of TV threads, foreign movie threads, a Netflix thread, anime threads....all kinds of shyt totally independent of Marvel and DC.

You cannot avoid the console war in here. You got people in this thread throwing shots at consoles, when it obviously has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

It doesn't matter if The Arcadium only had 2 active posters, the console wars are inescapable. You could literally post in The Film Room for months and have no idea people were arguing over DC and Marvel because that only happens in specific threads. Not to mention there is threads every season (for "Game Of Thrones" for example) that dwarf 90% of the threads in The Arcadium. "Half Life 3" would have to come out to do those kind of numbers.

ive posted in the film room maybe 10 times total, and everytime I do randomly go there that DC VS Marvel argument is just as bad as here

Game of Thrones thread is huge because its all seasons lumped into one correct? And even if it wasnt, its an on going conversation through a hour of show (no different than a sporting event). Where a game no need to talk about it as much + theirs 3 different plat forms for games, and we make new threads for every sequel as well.


I never understood and never will understand the split. If people didnt like certain topics, they could just avoid them. I could care less about comic books, so I didnt click on the threads. Simple. Now we have 2 dead forums (I checked The Film room earlier today at 2 pm PST, almost half the front page didnt have a post since 11 am PST, 3 hour gap) instead of 1 active one.


All those points you are listing is just all the more reason why the forums need to be back together or the arcadium will just continue to die slowly and its only going to get worse since no hype for no new consoles for at least another 2-3 years minimum when they announce playstation 5
