The thing is that often feminism and other gender-based movements are not yet seen as a political movements, which they are (since they deal with power, representation, and economical ressources, at least in their structural aspects).
Once you see them as such, it becomes obvious that there will be extremists, just like in any other political movement.
And obviously Black Men have been the prime enemy of "The West" since forever (them and Arab Men, but in a different way). When you talk to non-White feminists who have done their homework outside of White (mainstream) feminism, the discourse is quite different, since they include structural racism, effets of slavery, of colonization, etc. and point out how mainsream feminism can and is used as a tool against non-white men.
